Day 136 – What a nice Sunday

God I love Sundays! I wish everyday were Sunday. I could sleep in, go out for a café latte at one of my favourite coffee shops, do a spot of shopping, go to my favourite book stores and sit outdoors in the sun. I have to add that there must be an endless amount of cash in your bank account. Ahhhh what a life that would be! Sounds good huh?

Anyway, lets get back down to reality shall we? I woke up to some slight tenderness in my gut area and the back of my throat feeling a bit raw. I guess that’s normal due to the amount of spewage and chunder that came out of me last night.

I sat on my sofa hugging and kissing Elvis when the front door bell rang. I looked through the peephole and it was my friend Leah. I let Leah in and we just screamed and hugged each other. I haven’t seen Leah in a while and it was nice to catch up with her. I quickly got changed and made coffees for us. Leah didn’t stay long she was literally in the area and wanted to just say hi. I met Leah through my last work place and even though we speak regularly via telephone, email, sms and so forth it was lovely to sit down and chat face to face.

Leah was trying to bribe me to go to some cookery classes with her and I just burst out laughing in her face and said yeah, thanks but no thanks. I like not being able to cook. I reckon if I did know how to cook I would be an even bigger barge arse.

I walked Leah out and then my phone rang and it was my mum wanting to catch up. So I went around to my folks, left Elvis with dad and mum and I went off for a coffee. Afterwards I stayed at my parents place for a few hours and had some lunch (thank Christ it stayed down) and chilled out on their sofa.

I got home and spent a few hours reading the weekend papers and simply relaxing. My home phone didn’t ring, my mobile didn’t ring (only a few extremely comical sms’ from my boss Andrew, his cat Pepe did a shit on his doona for like the 4th time and I was in fits of laughter) but it was lovely sipping my strong latte and chilling out. The silence was exactly what the doctor ordered.

I crave silence at times. There are two things in life that I have a love hate relationship with and those being silence and sleep. Today though was seriously just magical and the silence around me was fantabulous.

I watched 60 Minutes tonight, as there was an interview with the band The Police. I love this band (I loathe Sting, I think the guy is a dickhead) but man what a band! That Stewart Copeland- what a fucking amazing drummer!! I wish I were the singer of The Police. I reckon I would kick arse up there on stage singing (I cant sing for shit) but this is one of my fantasies, the other is to sing in The B’52’s. Ahhh fantasies, I guess we all have them.

I have a busy week ahead of me as T. is coming to town, work will be busy, and I have a million and one things that need to be done.

I hope that we all stay happy and healthy!!!

Thanks for the shout our girl. I'm a little worried about you. YOu're spewing way too much. When are you getting fill taken out? Have you had blood tests done for iron and mineral levels? I don't think it's normal for you to be spewing every second day. I can eat most things, and know when to stop, but 4 spoonfuls of rice?? That just doesn't sound right, Unless it was really gluggy rice. The band is not supposed to be this hard hun... Pleeeeeeeeeaaaaaaase get some fill take out!
Much love,

Erika xx

I agree girl, you can't go on like this. I keep all my food down I still lose weight.

It doesnt need to be this hard babe. The band should be a great thing but it's making you miserable :o(

Reney sweetie,

Sydney was great-nabbed a few bargains-shoes, wallet and bangle. Stayed in at Surry Hills so was really central to everything. Did the Darling Harbour thing and went to see Wildlife World. It's this building that looks like a slinky and is covered in Stainless steel mesh and houses Australian reptiles, marsupials and birds. Our company did the structural steel and it was good to get to see it finished. We went down for a golf charity day to help raise funds for a dialysis machine in Fiji. My husband is from there so we took some prizes to raffle.
I walked my ass off shopping and sightseeing....god I wish that was more than just a figure of speech and was reality.LOL
How uncanny is this about the B52's. I've never done karaoke until I went to my neighbours 30th. After 2 bottles of red (yes pre banded I was a lush) I got up to perform LOVESHACK- well my family never lets me live it down. I stumbled and slurred over the words...what an act. I fancy myself with a beehive and 60's clothing. If only the voice was OK I'd be fine. My family actually pay me not to sing and I have threatened them with singing just to get my way... a double edged sword.
Just came back from the vets. Had to get "Rua Tallulah Rae's" stitches out and she can go for walkies tonight. So better skidaddle and finish my bill paying..oh joy.
Have a nice time with T this week and may your arse be the only thing facing the toilet. LOL
