Day 2 (Saturday 26th May)
Day 2 was uneventful. I lay on the sofa watched a lot of teli, slept a lot and ate a teaspoon of yoghurt for breakfast, a teaspoon of soup for lunch and a few mouthfuls of mums soup for dinner. I had absolutely no appetite and had not much energy for anything else.
I was starting to experience a little bit of pain on my port site and decided to take some liquid Panamax.
For people who have not been banded yet and want to shop for things before surgery I highly recommend a bottle of liquid Panamax. It costs about $5 a bottle and no prescription is needed. Tastes like dirty socks but it’s bearable.
By 9.30pm I was in bed and feeling exhausted. I fell asleep immediately but then awoke at 2.00am with the worst sore throat. I felt like I had swallowed razor blades and I was dripping wet from perspiration. I yelled out for my mum who came in and helped me put new clean and dry pyjamas on and with the bottle of Panamax.
I cried and moaned in agony for a few minutes and had a restless nights sleep. I could feel a cold coming and everything hurt.
