Day 39 - Another sleepless night!!!

I tried to get to bed at a reasonable time (11.30pm – that’s reasonable for me) and I collapsed into bed, as I was beat. I placed one hand under my pillow and the other by my side and then positioned myself on my tummy and buried my face into the pillow.

My eyelids were so heavy and I could feel my blinking slowing down when a group of teenagers decided to walk outside my place and why? Oh why? Must teenage girls screech when they speak? Man they were sooo loud. I get that they are young and happy and careless and carefree I truly get it, but that high pitched squeal drives me nuts and especially so at 11.30pm. F**K school holidays!!!! (Why do parents let their kids go wandering the streets of Suburbia Melbourne at 11.30pm???)

Elvis jumped put of bed and joined in with the neighbourhood dogs and started barking. Grrrrrrr!!!! It took me ages to try and settle my little man. I was then wide-awake and sat up in bed “Googling”. I came across a really FUNNY website: http://www.fuckingweirdshit.com hit the link rectal foreign bodies…absolutely, positively the funniest stuff I have seen in a long time. Anyways, back to what I was saying, I have always suffered from insomnia, ever since I can remember. So if I get sleep that’s great if I don’t then I just don’t. I don’t complain about lack of sleep because nobody really gives a shit. Right?

At 2.ooam I got out of bed and decided to take some photos of myself. Now, when insomnia hits you tend to get a big kooky so these are my funny photos.

I then sat at my dining table and sipped some chamomile tea hoping this would help sleep along. Then it hit me, could I be anxious about my first fill that is scheduled for this Tuesday? Okay I am a stress head that’s a given, but surely I wasn’t losing sleep over the up and coming fill?

Do I fear needles? Nope never have. How funny would that be, I was a pathology collector for 6 years and I have been a dental nurse for a very long time and I see and hold needles at least 10 times per day so I do not fear the needle. I have also had many needles in my lifetime only recently I had 9 cortisone injections in my scalp and folks that bloody hurt but it’s always a pinch and a sting and then its over with.

I ended up crashing on the sofa and then climbed into bed at about 4.ooam. Luckily I lasted all through my workday. I pushed the tiredness out of my head and concentrated fully on what was in front of me.

P.S – The website http://www.fuckingweirdshit.com may offend some, so if you have a weak stomach, don’t have a perverted and sick sense of human then I suggest you don’t go and visit this site. For the rest of you freaks!!! Enjoy. I thought it was wickedly amusing.

Hi Reney

Have you ever tried taking magnesium tablets for insomnia. And milk helps too. These are just some things I find useful.
