I was asked the other day on who were my role models. When I was initially asked I automatically thought of my beautiful mum. She was the first person that popped into my head.
My mum is not only my mother but she is my best friend. I can tell her anything and she doesn’t judge me. My mum is also my motivator, always encouraging me to move forwards in everything in my life. She always supports me and has the balls to tell me to my face that I am wrong (which between you and me isn’t very often!!! I’m being sarcastic my friends)
I love my mum because she loves me unconditionally and I too love her in return. Now don’t think that my relationship with my mum is always peachy because we argue and disagree about things all of the time. And we have no shame when we go “off” at each other. Being of European background we tend to be very passionate people who scream yell and carry on but all is forgotten in 10 minutes.
My mum has to be the strongest woman I know. She has taught me to be a powerful, confidant strong woman and the main lesson my mum has taught me is to be true to myself. I am who I am because of my mum.
The second person who I find to be inspiring is a singer, songwriter, spoken word artist, author, former singer of band Black Flag, radio and TV personality and occasional actor and social activist. His name is Henry Rollins. About 15 years I saw him on Rage doing some spoken word and I was addicted. I was attracted to this post-punk renaissance man as he said it like it is, he has this raw honesty and has this way of expressing pain that you and I may feel but could never let out. I inspire to be like him. I love, love, love the fact that he refuses to be pigeonholed, I like his views, I like his attitude, I like that he has a worldly approach to things and I like the fact that he hates George Bush JNR as much as I do.
The third person on my list has to be Gwen Stefani; Gwen Stefani is a singer, fashion designer and occasional actress. I first heard her in 1995 fronting ska band No Doubt. I remember hearing the song “Just a Girl” and I was hooked. I love the way she dresses. Her unique appearance appeals to me. I would love to be as stylish as Gwen.
My fourth and final role model has to be the gorgeous Sandra Bullock. I would love to look like her. I think she is simply stunning.
So to sum it all up, I want to be strong and confident like my mum, honest and expressive like Henry Rollins, stylish and funky like Gwen Stefan, and the body and looks of Sandra Bullock!
I’m not asking for much am I?

Hi, wanted to alert you to something very cool that Henry Rollins is doing. He's offering a chance to sound off on an issue for a national audience -- and the one person he personally chooses will be flown to LA to co-host the “Henry Rollins Show” marathon on IFC (Independent Film Channel) with Henry.
Rollins is inviting you to tape a short video “rant” and the person who does the one he chooses will be flown to L.A. (the winner and a guest for 3 days/2 nights), meet Henry and host the upcoming “Rollins Show” Marathon.
Go to ziddio.com/myrollinsrant and record and upload a 30-second video “rant” on one of the 11 hot topics Henry has selected (including abortion rights, has the Iraq war made us safer? Bush’s response to Hurricane Katrina, is America a dumb country? global warming, etc.)
All entries will be watched by, and the winner chosen solely by, Henry. He encourages anyone to enter, no matter their political persuasion - his only requirement: have “passion and attitude!”
An amazing opportunity. And a chance to sound off on some issues!
Henry explains it all, and upload your “rant” at: ziddio.com/myrollinsrant
