Day 18 – Hanging with my god-daughter

I had the distinct pleasure of hanging out with my 5 year old god-daughter Dee today.

Dee arrived on my parent’s doorstep dressed in her tutu and black knee-high boots. I adore the way kids dress themselves. It’s just so adorable and funky!!! We spent the morning drawing pictures and then playing on the swings at the park.

We then went back indoors and decided to take some cheesy photos. They are truly very funny and we were in fits of laughter. (See above photos)

After Dee was picked up I decided to go shopping with mum (nothing unusual about that) it must sound like I have lots of money or that I am a compulsive shopper, well its neither. I look at going shopping as a form of movement. Meaning, if I wasn’t shopping what would I be doing? I would either be at home eating or slopping around on the sofa. At least by going shopping I get to walk around and move and I get closer to doing my 10,000 steps that are required to be done each and every day.

Apart from that all seems to be going really well with the lap band. I still have my morning aches and pains and I can’t understand why the ache and pains are only really present in the morning. I am not hungry like I always used to be. I wake up feeling full and content. Gotta love that feeling.

I have no real desire for food but I still cant decipher the difference between gurgling and tummy rumbles. I have been researching heaps on the Internet trying to work out what I am feeling and what I should be feeling. I guess at the end of the day everybody is an individual and what happens to one person doesn’t necessarily mean it will be the same for the next.

That’s the goss for today!!!
