Day 14 - Size 14 Country Road Dress

I had to race to Chadstone shopping Centre today as a sales assistant forgot to take a blasted security tag off a jumper I purchased. As I ventured upstairs to Country Road. I walked into a melee of women, they were EVERYWHERE!!! There was a 50% sale on and it was like a war zone in there.

I had been eyeing this little grey dress for the past 2 months and there is absolutely no way it would fit but I so wanted it, and I bought it. From $179 I got it for $89 and I was euphoric with my bargain.

I came home and tried it on (it’s a size 14) and it doesn’t fit and it’s tight and I can’t pull it higher up than my upper thighs but never fear!!! It WILL fit and I cant wait to wear it and have my photo taken in it, I promise to stick the photo on my blog once I get to wear it.

I know it’s a crazy thing to do, buy a dress that doesn’t fit and maybe by the time it does fit it will be out of fashion but I wanted this dress so badly. I swear that this dress will be worn even if it’s out of style.

I never thought in a million years that I will soon be able to comfortably wear fashionable and trendy clothes (that aren’t sacks) it was one of my life long ambitions to go shopping and pick up clothes off the rack that look and feel great on me. I am so eager for that day to come. At least now, I know my dream is attainable. I just need a little bit more patience and I need to preserver with my diet and exercise.

One of my work colleagues, Kirsty came over tonight and her reaction was awesome. Let me explain, I was having a “fat” day today. All day I have been looking at my reflection and I think I look like I have put weight on; I keep having to jump on the scales just to make sure. Has anybody else experienced this? I just feel HUGE. I think it may have to do with the fact that I haven’t had a bowel movement?

Anyway, I digress, Kirsty commented that my face looked a lot smaller and she had never seen me in pants. Admittedly my pants were yoga pants and were a little on the baggy side but they were still pants.

After Kirsty left I went into my wardrobe and took a look at my clothes, there were all skirts and dresses in there. That’s all I wear, as they tend to hide my massive bum and thighs. Isn’t it funny what our friends and family observe about us?

I can’t thank Kirsty enough for making me feel so confident.
